Boer infantry and artillery

Post by CarlL » 18 Nov 2019, 20:43

Over on http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/News.aspx there is news of new Strelets releases including Boer artillery and infantry (separate boxes, sets 224 and M138, it appears).
At Strelets own site there is this photo of their artllery crew and gun (which looks just like the gun in set 111, Turkish artillery from 1877 war with Russia). see http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=1880 And of the newinfantry which all look promising and could be useful in other settings in Africa and elsewhere.

Here are the gunner and one of the artillery image projections.

I like the gunners and the new infantry - the older set were awful :(

PS Grant

The carers allowance has been spent ! Maggy ran off with the lot before I could tell her it was your pay.... sad eh?!! :(

I tried heading her off at the pass, but she spent the lot on ice cream with the grandson.... I didnt see the mobile ice cream van coming... I know I should have gone to specsavers; and I must stop hiding me cash under the bed, and invest in a real bank like Northern Rock??!

I quite like the original Boers, they have a lot of character(s) I especially like the chap lighting some dynamite.

I'm not sure I need any more but I'll certainly be buying these new sets. I've also still got the pom-pom awaiting paint.

What's the point of doing one period, when you can do them all.......... In life most people specialise so gradually they know more and more about less and less so eventually they know everything about nothing. I work on a broad front so eventually I'll know nothing about everything.
