Thanks for posting! A very interesting read. The Japanese took advantage of the prevailing jet stream winds to deploy balloon weapons against the U.S. and Canada during the war as well.

I'd heard of the Japanese bomb balloons before, but Grant's article was the first time I'd heard of the British using barrage balloons offensively.
