Gunboat building at Gringo40s

OK, it is another of my links that might incense you, so look away now if you are only into DIY gunboats!

Now you are looking away I can freely admit its really aimed at French 19th century Vietnam gunboat 'diplomacy'. So not really Sotcw. But dont tell those looking away.

However it is another development (not yet perfectly formed, and not yet available) in 28mm that may interest those of you with an urge to do early 20th century colonial actions of the gunboat diplomacy school (which may be of the shoot em up school of diplomacy historically but not to worry nobody need get hurt on our tabletop... but I digress).

Well Gringo40s 28mm gunboat project was announced on TWW recently from where I borrowed this lovely photo, (below) and the link below is back to that site; and another link (at bottom of this page) to Gringo40s own website where you can find one lovely 28mm Rif Wars leader (c1910s) and a full range of 28mm Mexican Revolution (c1910 - 1920) figures perfectly formed. (But dont tell Ushcha that! These are overdetailed for his liking! Apologies to Ushcha for this pun.) The Spanish-American war is nearly 20th century and many figures there are useful for other colonial actions in early 20th century (eg Spanish in Rif War, and USA in Phillippines, 1899-1902 and of course the Pedicaris Affair of 1904, classic 'gunboat' diplomacy!).
