That's quite an extensive Middle East WW1 range. Useful for 1920s too. Keep the photos coming! Well done all at Pendraken.

This release should be a useful one for a variety of games and periods, basically anywhere that you'd have found wooden houses and fire!

There's two slightly different types in the pack and the chimneys are separate pieces so you can choose whether to put them in or not. The left-hand ruin measures 70x50mm, and the right-hand one is 75x50mm. The chimneys are 30mm tall.

These are based on a variety of period photos which show burnt out buildings like this with the chimney left intact. With the chimneys left off though, these could do service almost anywhere really.

Great model and photos! I presume you are selling them unpainted?

Thanks Carl! They are unpainted and I need to get an unpainted picture on the website as well. The trouble is that our resin guy has switched to a white resin and it's a bugger to photo! I'm going to have to put it against a coloured background I think.

Leon,
Just run a thin black wash over white resin to pick out details then photo when its dry. You will need to avoid the run off ruining your table or floor covering.

Whenever I've tried black washes on resin in the past it's always pooled or spread away as if the surface is greasy, no matter how many times I wash them! I'll give it another go and if not I'll stick a quick grey primer coat on them first.

Leon you could try a matt varnish before your dark / black wash then the quality of your casting may be clearer?

We've been working on this range for quite some time now and we're finally ready to release them! This first batch covers all of the American and Chinese forces, with infantry, command, mortars and artillery crews for both nations. We'll have the British coming in the next 7-10 days and then the North and South Koreans following on before the end of the month hopefully. Once these are all available, we'll be looking at all of the artillery towards the end of the year. And don't forget that we've got most of the vehicles needed for this conflict already available here: https://pendraken.co.uk/modern/vehicles/

Phil's done a cracking job sculpting these and we'd also like to thank Sunray for all of his help and advice on this range.

Lovely work, all at Pendraken.

Of course on seeing those padded / quilted uniforms my mind went straight to painting conversions and using them as Russians in winter ops or in far away "Manchuria" against the Japanese in 1945. (I cant recall the right name for the puppet government being run by Japanese in far east border region of China / Russia.)

There's certainly some nice proxy options in this range, especially when the Brits get launched at the end of this week.
