UN Troops for Morvalonga

The Newly independent nation of Morvalonga has received some monitoring United Nations forces in addition to the UN Intervention Team several teams have been deployed mainly in the central area of the country.  As well these teams strong patrol bases of multinational forces have been established in several areas.

The APCs are VABs from S&S Models with added .50" MGs from the spares box.  The crews are from the ESCI NATO Troops set that have been lying about for years unused.

The scout cars are Matchbox die cast toys crewed again by the ESCI NATO Troops (some converted)

Re: UN Troops for Morvalonga

No complaint, but the Matchbox ones are nearer 15mm, that is one big vehicle. I have a couple for my 15mm USMC. There are several other Matchbox ones that are useable but will need some chopping.

Good stuff Alan

Any thing bigger than 6 is TOO BIG

Re: UN Troops for Morvalonga

Alan, I have some diecast vehicles that I acquired as part of a ‘job lot’ on e-Bay a while back that might be the right size, if that would be of interest?

Re: UN Troops for Morvalonga

Ok, having looked them out, there are:
3 Matchbox Ferret scoutcars (the later larger models withe plastic turret)
3 Matchbox Stoat scout cars (same scale)
3 Jeeps (two Corgi, one Matchbox)
A Chinese plastic SUV with roof mounted mg (actually quite a nice model)
I have tried them next to a 25mm figure and they look compatible to me
Any interest?
