Cheap Glantz books on Kindle

Not free or 99p but you can pick the first two volumes of his Barbarossa Derailed on Kindle for less than a fiver altogether - a massive discount compared to the print cost.

Re: Cheap Glantz books on Kindle

Guys I don`t have a pad or Kindle or even a smart phone, but I do have Kindle for PC.

Allows me to take advantage of these offers on books I wouldn`t normally buy.

Re: Cheap Glantz books on Kindle

I must admit the idea didn't appeal much with regard to getting a kindle , im a bit of a techno phobe really ,however when mission control got a new one ,I got the cast off ,and I must admit , im a total convert .I wish I had got one sooner , backlight makes it brilliant for reading , you can change the font ,size of print etc ,transfer pictures to PC ,its absolutely brilliant. Also I have picked up a lot of really interesting books for pennies , that ordinairily I wouldn't have got.  I never thought I would see the day this would be the case ,having said that ,I still like a really good physical copy. cheers  John

I love being able to annotate books with notes as I read them; then find them again later.

Re: Cheap Glantz books on Kindle

I'm not a fan of marking books either. I've seen one or two library books that had notes in. That really made my blood boil.

I bought my first Kindle around the same time that I made a conscious decision to read more. I read more now, but I'm not sure if it's because of the Kindle or not. I do find I prefer ebooks now, though.

Yep, so i can refer back to relevant pages and chapters quickly.

In the case of books which cover longish periods, i sometimes use different colours to mark various stuff (units, commanders, campaigns/columns, etc)

Highlights and notes in an ebook can be completely erased, leaving no trace. There's always some mark left on a paper book, even if you're careful.

I don't use highlights or notes in ebooks very often, but I don't use them at all in paper books.
