I am not against making someting available on likes of WV (where I think past Sotcw Journals were available).
I am wanting to avoid any additional costs, so I presume WV want paying to sell goodies?

I am not advocating producing a goodie for sale rather I am advocating trying to create something of interest to former SOTCW members and others who may be interested in 20th and 21st century history and associated gaming and modelling.

Are you proposing an Annual available only on the web, or as both in printed and web based versions?

I'm not getting generally involved in this discussion, but to answer this question: No. They take a cut from any copies that are sold. There aren't any up-front costs.

There is no printed Journal at this time, the team just didn`t have enough contributions to make it worth while organising a new subscription period - frankly unless they get 2-3 issues worth of stuff in the bank, I can`t see that happening

But they are getting submissions and some volunteers have offered to write, so it has been discussed the society produce one printed on demand issue every now and again - material allowing. This discussion is on going and you are welcome to pitch in with ideas or write something as a contribution

I have just been notified by my professional body that after a few years of digital plus quarterly they are moving wholly to digital. It strikes me that, as stated previously, the only realistic way ahead would be periodic publication through something like WV. However, it raises the question of what the purpose of producing such items is; does the internet forum now fulfil the role that the Journal once had? if so, the only question now is how to raise sufficient funds to maintain the internet presence.
