Brian, hopefully the articles I am researching and writing will inspire others to make/model them, or even get a company like Shapeways to design and 3D print them...so watch this space ;)

Nah, I have limited skills but little interest in returning to CAD design (something I did in my last real job before running the hotel), I certainly don`t want to invest in tech either :roll:

About £300 gets you a printer, software etc. and a kg of Plastic. That's probably less than some armies and enough plastic to print one. I get the don't want to do it bit but the cost is now only that of an army and well less than what we have spent on terrain.

You must be talking about someone else - I hardly spend £300 in total in an entire year (excluding books) - this year including Christmas coming (I just bought a £35 book off my wife) I doubt my total will get that high - this is after all just my hobby :D
