New (fiction) book

Post by Russell Phillips » 13 Sep 2019, 09:19

I have a new book out. Fiction this time, and co-written with a friend. It's set during a Warsaw Pact invasion of West Germany in 1982.

For a bit of fun, I made a newsflash video. Click the cover image if you'd like to watch it.

Interesting. This is pre Challenger I and Warrior, small numbers of Leopard II and M1 Abrams. All the cool 70’s jets still in service, Phantom, Harrier, Jaguar, with the new generation coming on stream like the F15, F16 and Tornado. For the Soviet’s presumably T-80B, T-64B for the category A divisions and T-72 or T-55 for the category B. They are a bit behind on aircraft as the Mig-29 enters service mid ‘82, so bulk of the fighters are Mig-23’s and 21’s. They do have the SU-24 though.

Cheers Fred.
