I realise I need to print and paint lots more Milan teams in 1/144 and then the worst bit paint them. The BAR had a platoon of 24 fire in g posts to a battalion. That is a lot of Milan even at company level. The only saving grace is with realistic scale figures the detail is minimal.
Not 24- there are 8 spares. Each company had a section of 4, + 4 spare. The spare posts were replaced with MCT Spartans fairly quickly, as the CO's AT reserve. There was 1 Btn with 4 FV438, 4 Milan posts, and 6 Wombats in 1975/6.
Plenty of 20th century gaming going on for me, but not a lot of painting. I did recently do some more WW2 partisans and a couple of bits and pieces for the rear-echelon Germans to face them. The guys with the MG-30(t)s were fun to convert, basically Germans with Bren guns. I also did some lists and a campaign for Chain of Command to use them, you can download those at:
The new Rubicon Panzer IV’s are out so started work on them. Lovely kits. The J version has photo etched mesh side skirts. With the 3 different boxes you can make every version from D to J. Can’t wait for their new Panzer III which is getting the same treatment.

I now have a selection of odd 28mm figures on the tray, my painting really isn`t good enough for this size/scale, I`ve simply not got the brush control or eye, but every now and again i see a figure and think I`ll give that a go
None of this batch, are really SOTCW related
