Just watched Finnish film "1944: The Final defence" on Virgin Prime
The story follows the battle of Tali - Ihantala in 1944. It pretty well acted, accompanied by graphics to show where the action was taking place. This was good because I had no idea of the geography of the battle. Also there was no fighting in the dark - it was very much "Land of the Midnight Sun".
plenty of period weaponry and uniforms - KV-1, T-34/76, T-34/85, StuG III and more. Sometimes clips of wartime newsreels were shown and the actors look matched the film clips.
In Finnish with English subtitles - Watch it right to the end as the credits roll they show quite a bit of newsreel footage.
I'll give it 4 stars!

Watched it again lat night. It is better second time round. The KV-1 might be a mock up bit it is well done, And there is a T-26 (I think).
And they were certainly a tough bunch.
