Forum and website move to new server

Post by Russell Phillips » 18 Nov 2018, 14:04

The forum and website are moving to a new, faster server. This will involve some downtime for the forum, probably tomorrow (Monday 19th November) during the day.

The new website will host reviews, which will be split into categories, so you'll be able to easily see all the figure reviews, for instance, or all the WW2 reviews. You will also be able to subscribe to get an email notification when new reviews are posted.

Great work, thanks
What's the point of doing one period, when you can do them all.......... In life most people specialise so gradually they know more and more about less and less so eventually they know everything about nothing. I work on a broad front so eventually I'll know nothing about everything.

The forum is migrated, but I'll need to do some more work on the Journal progress counter.

The Journal progress counter is updated, and the website is migrated. You can see the new website at http://www.sotcw.co.uk/

The form to sign up to get emails when new reviews are posted is in the right column on every page.

Please email me if you have trouble accessing the forum or the website.

Is there actually anyone to submit any journal content to? I always had good intentions but never got round to it and thought it might be too late - although I have some research on an Interwar project I’m likely to write up anyway.

Just not sure if content is wanted and what to do if I get round to writing it up.

We're still planning on doing at least one more Journal for Sub 15, so content would be very welcome - send it to editor@sotcw.co.uk
