Journal 95 now out

Post by Russell Phillips » 05 Jul 2018, 11:58

I'm happy to say that despite the best efforts of couriers, Journal 95 has been sent to members. The print versions have been posted, and the PDF versions are available to download as usual.

My paper Journal arrived today, Saturday 7th July. And what a lovely edition it is too.

Well done contributors: Andy Sykes, QUADICE! - ok I made that word up for four times - (Spanish Civil War is an interest of mine! So two rticles is a bonus. And two SAS operations 1941-43 is interesting too!); Alan Hamilton (I didnt know the French had Parachut troops! in 1935-40!); Rob Morgan TWICE (What a monster that Kaiser Wilhelm Geschutz gun is! Sorry no umlaut there; and interesting blimps in the Rearguard!); Greg Potter, (a player after my own heart! keep it simple! espcially when knackered); Ian Shaw (meglomania big scale games rings a bell with most gamers, nice link to blog); Richard Baber TWICE (Syria 1941 is a forgotten front Richard brings alive. And Ardennes 1944 - a favourite of many a gamer.)

Then all those book reviews too: well done Rob Morgan, THRICE; Richard Baber TEN-ICE - I am at it again making up words; Paul A. Allcock; Russ Phillips; ian Shaw.

And a final thank you to the production team and editor: Andre Rolph, Russ Phillips and PETE JONES!!

CarlL

PS another great front cover - very BOYS OWN if you dont mind me saying so!! And photos and maps too.

Got my copy today, read it between watching the formula 1 qualifying and the 2nd half of the game in Samara. Thanks Gents for all of you who have written articles and helped publish the magazine.

Good edition; does the lack of time pressure allow for improvements?

I think that one article attributed to me is by someone else, may be a gentleman called Ian Taylor ?
