SOTCW in 2022

Post by magnification »

All,

The Society will be re-launched in January along the lines I have briefly laid out elsewhere in this forum. If you would like to be kept informed of next steps and timed plans as they develop, then send an email to sotcw@outlook.com. Please use this email as it will enable me to build up a contacts list. Do not post replies on here as I cannot construct such a contacts list based on postings here - I need email addresses.

All constructive views,' comments, ideas and concerns are welcome and may well influence future direction. They may well be used in a Letters page in a forthcoming non-forum SOTCW communication planned for Christmas.

Thanks and Regards,

Mark Wheeler

You have my positive answer, Mark.

If you need help with tasks let me know. You have my email address.
I don't have great IT / web skills, as I have noted elsewhere, but hopefully I can put 'pen to paper' or finger to word processor and create some short pieces for future Journal plans, or give time to other tasks if these promote the continuation of Sotcw.

Alea iacta est

The decision is made, and I will continue with the society for now. But I really don't want more paper I have more then enough so I hope the reincarnation is available as a pdf .
What's the point of doing one period, when you can do them all.......... In life most people specialise so gradually they know more and more about less and less so eventually they know everything about nothing. I work on a broad front so eventually I'll know nothing about everything.

Fire-at-Will,

A final decision on PDF's is not yet made. We may have to do this for non-UK members because of funding issues. I am not sure who you are (real name I mean) but as this Forum may close at the end of the year (another open issue) could you email me at sotcw@outlook.com please so I can add you to email distribution.

I can also send off the occasional missive if it helps keep the SOTCW afloat.
