More Mexicans

Post by Richard B. » 07 May 2019, 12:25

Lost my painting mojo for a few months, and though i bought these back in January, they have sat on the painting tray since then un-loved.

Various painted conversions of Tumbling Dice figures :)

Rural scout corps (circa 1914)
In an attempt to increase the size of the army and absorb various irregular and anti-Madero elements into it.
President Huerta re-named the Rurales as the Rural Scout Corps and folded them into the army (they had been under the Department of the Interior)
I think these were Australian light Horse
Mounted

Federal Infantry wearing the 1910 era cotton uniform with kepi and havelock
British camel corps figures I think?

Very nice Richard and they look like the British/Commonwealth cavalry in slouch hats. I have some somewhere.

Nice and unusual
What's the point of doing one period, when you can do them all.......... In life most people specialise so gradually they know more and more about less and less so eventually they know everything about nothing. I work on a broad front so eventually I'll know nothing about everything.

Lovely paint job, Richard.
Good choice of figures for an essentially painting based 'conversions'.
