Its not a ruin! A Fieldworks Mansion House

Post by CarlL »

This is another model that I think is a 15mm model building, but I am not sure! Its so long since I bought it from Fieldworks!
Its a different kind of Fieldworks building: its NOT a ruin! They did a number of country houses or farms that could be used in a number of centuries or countries.
I am not sure which country was in mind when this three part kit was made. I bought it thinking I can use this for a chateau in France or as a Tsarist mansion. The show model was better finished than mine in terms of the two pillars that need to be added for the front porch / roof overhang from dowel.
I have added 15mm limber or 20mm Russian infantry scouts, to some photos, to give impression of this model's size.

Looks very fine to me.

And handily loosely scaled to boot.

I must admit that when I saw the subject line my immediate reaction (with my best Terry Jones impression of Brian's mum) was to reply "...it's just a bit run down",

Cheers
