Russian Diecasts suitable for 25mm figures

Post by Blockhead123 » 20 Jan 2019, 18:48

Before I advertise these on e-Bay, I thought I should check if anyone on the SOTCW forum is interested.
I acquired these about a year ago, thinking that they were like the other 1:87 (actually steel, rather than diecast) Russian models of 1960s-70s WarPac Armoured vehicles that I had purchased previously - but when they arrived, I found they were much larger - I would say they are more like 1:64 and compatible with 25mm figures.
The two models are in the original boxes

and in near mint condition as per the pictures.
The vehicles are a BRDM 2 scout car

and BRDM 1 based ATGW carrier

I am not looking to make anything on these, so I am offering them at the price I paid, being £5-69 and £8-50 respectively, plus postage at cost
PM me if you are interested, otherwise I will put on e-Bay later in the week

Interesting find.
Pressed steel must be quite something in what I presume was intended as a patriotic toy?
Not my period so I cant help you but really interesting photos and models / toys.
In their style they remind me of the hollow Dinky military vehicle toys of 1950s / 1960s.
Thanks for posting Blockhead123

When I can find the box they are in, I will post some pictures of the other steel models I am talking about - they are quite nice if simplified scale models. At the moment they are in disassembled and stripped down state ready for re-furbishing and repainting
