Finally managed to revisit SH (that is, I managed to get a game for the first time in far too long) .. France 1940. A great encounter ...

Great looking game, your comments and insights into the game mechanics were also very well done and interesting to read - thanks Robin :D

Whilst you bemoan your rustiness, at least it's an excuse. I play SH every other week and never get any better. Thanks for the write up, I enjoyed it.
Cheers
Andrew

Robin, I feel, is being overly harsh on his performance and planning. His artillery let him down and if his counter-battery fire had been on time the result would have been very different. As it was my artillery fires were few as I know he tends to have his big guns on call.

Below, another photo of the game, this time of the only Matilda to press home an attack on the German infantry.

Nice photo. Thanks Keith, for the photo, the kind comments, and a fantastic game.

Heavy guns for CB? Never leave home without them. They do however need to locate the enemy battalions in order to be able to support friendly forces LOL
Kind regards
