Another Ju.88 defector is currently on display in the USAF Museum at Dayton, Ohio. This one a Ju.88D-1/Trop flown to Cyprus by a defecting Romanian pilot, and later supplied to the USAAF by the RAF for testing and evaluation.

A couple of interesting finds, thanks
What's the point of doing one period, when you can do them all.......... In life most people specialise so gradually they know more and more about less and less so eventually they know everything about nothing. I work on a broad front so eventually I'll know nothing about everything.

It's good to see the USAF Museum's Ju.88 finally displayed indoors and in the correct paint and markings. During my childhood visits to the museum during the 1960's and 70's it was displayed outdoors on a former taxiway adjacent to the museum, along with several other aircraft including a former Spanish AF He.111 (CASA 2.111 D). At that time the Ju.88 was painted in fictitious Luftwaffe markings.
