Here is some great inspiration for uniforms and vignettes, as "restored" (really colourised monochrome photos, an artwork in itself) covering mainly French uniforms, guns, wagons, colonial troops in France, bomb damage to homes and works, and bombshelters.

Some images wouldnt be out of place in a Franco Prussian War image like the Zouaves or the wooden wagons that could be Napoleonic in style!
Forgot there are a couple of aircraft too.
