Airfix at Aldi

Post by gordograd » Mon Dec 17, 2018 7:54 pm

It’s that time of the year again whenever Aldi stock a few Airfix starters kits. This year I’ve seen the usual spits, hurris and fw190, but my store also had the airborne jeep with trailer and 75mm howitzer for £4.99.
Nice kit for the money - my paras now have some extra support.
Happy Xmas shopping
Ken

None in Chester, only the quick assembly kits
What's the point of doing one period, when you can do them all.......... In life most people specialise so gradually they know more and more about less and less so eventually they know everything about nothing. I work on a broad front so eventually I'll know nothing about everything.

I got 2 airborne jeeps today in the "last week's surplus" area.

For those not aware of the kit, there is no crew but in the box is a jeep with transport pallet, a trailer and a 75mm howitzer. Not only that there are a few bits of stowage a .50 cal, a .30 cal and 2 Vickers K guns to make recce jeeps or other armed ones.
Also there - FW190 and a Spifire and Hurricane for the Battle of Britain and a littlr Cutty Sark.
