The Works: Vulcan and Chieftain manuals

Post by Russell Phillips » Sat Apr 14, 2018 6:11 pm

The Works in the UK currently has Haynes manuals for Chieftain and Vulcan for £6.

I bought the Chieftain one. It's well worth the money if you're interested in British armour.

Does it tell you how to fix it? I don’t think my local Halfords carries any spares though.

Cheers Fred.

Did Haynes win the MoD contract for technical guide to British Army mechanics?

PS Russell,

Are you using your Haynes to build you and the children a tank in the garden? (just teasing...) :)

It's not big enough for a tank :( Maybe an armoured car ;)

They are also stocking a few other books in a similar vein, namely the T-34 and the World War One Mk IV Rhomboid, along with some aircraft titles.

Incidentally, I was at a model show in Darlington on Saturday, (14th April), and one book seller there was selling the same titles for £12.00

If you local works doesn't have the book you want in stock, they do a free 'click and collect' service on line, so well worth a look to see what they have.
