Border Reiver show at Gateshead 1st Sept 2018...a quick report, Part 1

Post by granty101 »

Border Reiver is a local show, (about 20 miles away), that I try to visit every year. It is the usual show mix of games and traders, (Leon of Pendraken is a regular), and has a bit of everything. Not a massive show by any means, but it gives a good few hours entertainment. One new trader I was glad to see this year was Helion & Co. , and I had a good chat with the two lads manning their stall. They have some good books available, and I bought two of them. (Reviews will be done for the Journal). Anyway, a few photos of the games on display:

Wild West game

Run by a member of the cardboard gamers forum, (might be worth a visit for free downloads, etc), everything was made from paper and cardboard, apart from the figures.

Napoleonic game

Not sure who ran it, but plenty of figures on the table.

Pirates, Samurai, Dungeons & Dragons, etc

Nicely painted up games with plenty of colourful action.

Nee worries John...without local shows like this, the hobby would die.
