Re: SOTCW Future Offer

It is a question of finding opponents Richard. I would be happy to stick with one set of rules, but finding someone to play them against is the problem. If you have a stable group that enjoy playing the same rules then it is fine, but over the years having had periods where that is the case eventual...

Re: SOTCW Future Offer

I couldn’t find a set of rules I liked playing for ancients and medieval, having played DBM for many years didn’t get on with DBMM or Fields of Glory. Having stopped playing the impetus to keep reading the magazines went. Same for SFSFW, the group I was playing with went their separate ways. Things ...

Re: SOTCW Future Offer

Personally I would be in favour of any proposal that sustains the Society and the Journal. This is the only Society I am now a member of, being a lapsed member of SFSFW, Lance and Longbow and the SOA. Modern gaming was my first period using Charles Grant’s Battle and remains my favourite.

Re: Whats everyone doing?

Empress Miniatures late war Germans, some winter Italians and Romanians for Stalingrad era games and a pile of Rubicon kits. Need to do some terrain too.
