Re: Aari Kommandobunker.

I still have the Arii version of the kit in my stash. As with John's, the figures and gun and vehicle kits were stripped out and put to use ages ago, but the rest of it is still in the box. It seemed a good idea when I bought it 25+ years ago, but I've never really found a use for it. https://www.sc...

Re: Heller 2018 Catalogue

The mention of a Hotchkiss H-35/38 had me rather excited until I realized it was 1/35 rather than 1/72. Still good to see some of the old kits available once again (AMX-13, Saab Safir and Lansen, T-28 Fennec, etc.)

Re: Strelets Set 139 Japanese Type 96 with Crew

Thanks for that, Alan. First I've seen of the 25mm Type 96 on an AT carriage. Naval-style AA mountings in single, twin, or triple form were much more common.

Re: Strelets Set 139 Japanese Type 96 with Crew

Unfortunately, the gun model bears only the vaguest resemblance to the Army 20mm Type 98 or the Navy 25mm Type 96. Given the lack of available alternatives, I'm sure it will still fill a niche in a number of 20mm Japanese collections. http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNJAP_25mm-60_mg.php https://en.w...

Re: German hydrofoil tank transporter!

A decent general overview of wartime German hydrofoil projects and other experimental boats can be found here:

The lighter used with the VS-8 was self-propelled by 2 x 40hp motors.
