Re: Water Cooled Vickers MG in "Light" role

I have a major problem with the description of a vickers as "light". :)
Of course - that is why it is in quote marks. I suspect the weapon was removed from or part of the equipment of the armoured car.

Re: Camera

The Finepix I have has macro and super-macro settings which I have found to be simple to use and more than adequate for everything I do. I also use the old version of MS-Paint (it is simple to use) to reduce them for adding to my website for sharing here and other places.

Re: D-Day

Just back from the presentation of the Chevalier of the Legion d'Honneur to 4 D-Day veterans at the French Cosulate. Discovered that one of them served with my father! Taking a short break - 2 more events today, Quite an emotional and humbling day. https://en-gb.facebook.com/pg/LegionScotland/posts/

Re: Wargamers and Tactics/strategy.

It gets even more interesting as the manuals to some extent don't agree No surprise at all. Different editions of the same manual may also be different. And when actually used on the battlefield any resemblance to manual is likely to be coincidental. the most common reason for bullets arriving with...
