Re: Les Char D1 du 4e Regiment Chasseurs D`Afrique

Great models by EWM from your excellent photos. (I see the new garden makes for a fine gravel playing surface too!) Live and learn, should be my motto; I didn't realise these early tanks were still in service in 1940, let alone that they fought at Kasserine and elsewhere in North Africa! CarlL That...

Les Char D1 du 4e Regiment Chasseurs D`Afrique

7th squadron of 4RCA had 15 of these in Tunisia at the time of the German landings, they immediately joined other French units as part of the now combined allied armies trying to defeat the Germans/Italians. The unit was at Medjez-el-Bab; Hir Moussa and Kasserine (where they claimed a Panzer IV!) Th...

Re: First model from Spain

Carl, I got the basic trucks on either e-bay or car boot sales usually as part of a job lot. Corgi Cameo and Lledo trucks form a significant part of my "generic" transport fleets. see http://www.morvalearth.co.uk/Inch_High_Club/Morvalistan%201940/Mvstn40_02/Morvalistan%2040_2.htm http://www.morvale...

Re: First model from Spain

Very nice, Richard. I think it would do quite nicely as an Italian caravan as well. David I used the same truck to make "Italian" troop carriers. http://www.morvalearth.co.uk/Inch_High_Club/Morvalistan%201940/Mvstn40_02/101_0651.JPG and portees for Anti-Tank guns http://www.morvalearth.co.uk/Inch_H...

First model from Spain

Not much but a beginning at least :D This was a Corgi AEC box van, I added window/shutters and a little stowage and have painted her up as a command caravan for my desert British. I think it looks OK :) https://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r3/Richard_Baber/allies/023_zpsa6bvcngn.jpg https://i140.phot...

Re: new WW2 scenario book from Manny Granillo et al

I have a few of their scenarios - overall pretty good - I`ve converted two an played them using our preferred rules too :D

I would prefer scenario books to be period/theatre related myself, but hey ho
