Re: air support

The Duster is £9.90, AMX £7.70 and the Tigercat £15 (but that price includes postage, Butlers charges £4 postage on all orders). Tigercat was pricey compared to the other stuff, but, what the heck it looks good. Extracting Tigercat from the supports was easier than I thought it would be, and far eas...

Re: air support

I've currently got a T-28 Fennec to build and paint, along with a Strikemaster, a Douglas A2D Skyshark (a What If replacement for the Skyraider) and a Su-25 Frogfoot - all to be used as loitering COIN aircraft.
Maybe not "ultra modern" as most people see it, but...

John, the only 'highly technical' bit of kit I've seen recently is Carl's mobility scooter...and AFAIK, there isn't a model available in 20mm.

Re: Ultra modern

What rules are you using to accommodate all of this please It's a home-grown set (dating back, in basics, to the late 1970s). Written as a campaign base where equipment price is based on model price (and countries get a military budget of around £35-£60 per week). Probably needs revamping with the ...

Re: Ultra modern

Er...i was thinking along the lines of radar systems ,counter battery and missile systems ,drones etc... Yep, all of them. Oh and ATGWs in flight - because the rules we use dictate that they hit only after everything else has been resolved (the relatively slow flight time when compared to gun syste...

Re: Ultra modern

Er... what highly technical kit do you mean?
Tanks and aircraft, sure.
I've 3D printed some Claymore markers, got the AA missile systems, AT missile systems, planning on making some ADSID-type (Igloo White) markers, got some small UAVs, some radar systems...

Re: air support

I've used on-table models ever since I started wargaming (despite the lack of any rules for such in Grant's Battle!). And always in 1/72 - because I started as an aircraft modeller and because of the selection available in that scale. Currently about to build a 1/72 Douglas Skyshark[1] (and having c...

Re: Fargo truck 1940s era

No point looking at Minimi: they're currently not producing (AFAIK they've been moribund for a good while - couple of years or so). I emailed them about a month ago asking if they had any idea when they'd be up and running again, but so far no reply. Great pity because they do good stuff at highly a...

Re: Whats everyone doing?

Busy building a 20mm ruined factory in MDF (collected from Leon at Hammerhead a couple of weeks ago), filling the shell holes in the walls and adding parts (corrugated plasticard roofs, new doors and acetate windows so that it's not "ruined" any more for my Latin American campaign. Oh, and putting t...
