Re: early 20th C Islamic 20mm gunners?

C20th might be a stretch, unless you've still got some muzzle-loaded guns being fielded only about half of those will be any use to you.

Re: more 28mm Moderns at Irregular Miniatures

Argh, my eyes!

Seriously though, at least he's making an effort to upgrade the site to have a shopping cart and take payments online, but there's a lot of work to do there. Having such a big catalogue is going to make updating that site a mammoth task.

I thought 57mm too, but it didn`t match any I could find.............
Me neither, hence the question.

I suspect "flight of fancy" from the sculptor is the answer. Not a biggy.

Re: African Militia

It's so small I was assuming that if it's anything it would be something like a 57mm. I suspect though that it's just the sculptor making something up, or using a dodgy source photo. The RPG-7 is a bit "stylised", too.

Re: Roads - NOT for sensitive modllerls ;-)

Whats the problem with your current system? Just that it takes too long to set up?

African Militia

I've not been doing a lot of C20th stuff lately, but I did paint up this mob of African militia a little while ago. They needed a technical, so I've stuck an M2HB onto one of the cheap plastic wrecked cars from Mantic's "Walking Dead" range. Troops are from The Assault Group . Clicky for more piccie...

Re: Spot the mistake!

It didn't sell.

But the seller has relisted it at the same price still without any mention of the mistake, despite people pointing it out to them. I suspect the owner is aware it's messed up and is trying to offload it on some poor unsuspecting kid. Grrr!

I though the 3-D thing was all about enhanced detail..
Nah, you'll get far better surface finish and detail from a casting. It's used over 3D printing in industry for that exact reason. Where 3D printing helps with details is if they're a weird shape that would be difficult to cast.

Re: Typhoon

Hmm, does look to be missing a lot of detail: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/70/April_9th_rehearsal_in_Alabino_of_2014_Victory_Day_Parade_%28558-15%29.jpg/640px-April_9th_rehearsal_in_Alabino_of_2014_Victory_Day_Parade_%28558-15%29.jpg Tons of greeblies there that aren't incl...

Re: more 15mm pre-painted buildings from Empires at War

Looks from the pics like this is "pre-painted" in the same sense that the 4Ground stuff is. It's a basic undercoat really, and you'll probably want to tart it up a bit yourself.
