Re: 28mm Armour for my son's Bolt Action Games

Impressive painting. I am not familiar with speckling on the autumn dapple camouflage but doing 6mm I guess I would not have been interested anyway. Can you say anymore about it? On 18 February 1943, all vehicles were ordered to be supplied painted in a base coat of Dunkelgelb RAL 7028 (dark yellow...

Re: 28mm Armour for my son's Bolt Action Games

Thanks, these are the first 28mm size WW2 vehicles in the "ambush" pattern I have tried. Quite pleased with them. Working on some green British ones now.

Re: Santa

Of course you all breaking the law, the celibration of Christmas was made illegal in 1647 on Christmas day ! On 19 December 1643, an ordinance was passed encouraging subjects to treat the mid-winter period 'with the more solemn humiliation because it may call to remembrance our sins, and the ...

Re: Santa

Decided to do something different this Christmas. Not asking for anything at all, nor expecting anything - we have asked friends and family to donate a small gift. Because a small group of us (6) and a local cafe will be running a Christmas Dinner event for the local folk who would be lonely on the ...

28mm Armour for my son's Bolt Action Games

Our son was deployed on an operational tour a few months ago and is due back home in January. So I have been building and painting up his 28mm WW2 Bolt Action models (no markings yet as I will wait for him to decide). Airfix starter sets at Lidl

My local Lidl has some Airfix starter kits (with paints, etc) at £4.99. I saw HMS Victory (1/600), Mary Rose (1/400), P51D, Jet Provost and 1/76 Willys Jeep.

Re: What are you working on??

Nothing wargaming.

We are just back from a wonderful long weekend with the grandchildren in Legoland. So I am "assisting" the construction of a whole range of Star Wars, Friends, Ninjago etc etc

And loving the diversion!

Re: Valentines in Madagascar

They may have been Valentine Mk III but remember that the Valentine (all marks) was the Infantry Tank Mk III and this often causes confusion. I cannot find anything in my references about the composition of B Special Service Squadron other than that it was composed of 6 (?) Valentines and 6 (?) Tetr...
