Re: 1944: The Final Defence

Watched it again lat night. It is better second time round. The KV-1 might be a mock up bit it is well done, And there is a T-26 (I think).

And they were certainly a tough bunch.

1944: The Final Defence

Just watched Finnish film "1944: The Final defence" on Virgin Prime The story follows the battle of Tali - Ihantala in 1944. It pretty well acted, accompanied by graphics to show where the action was taking place. This was good because I had no idea of the geography of the battle. Also there was no ...

Re: air support

Sometimes air support is central to the game. In our games set in Iraq in 1941 almost all games involved air support http://www.morvalearth.co.uk/Inch_High_Club/100_8822.JPG Our Italian involvement in Africa also needs air support in most games http://www.morvalearth.co.uk/Inch_High_Club/Morvalistan...

Lovely photos Alan,
And nice bit of modelling too (is it one of yours or simply a photo borrowed to illustrate the camo effect?)

Re: Wanted - a couple of bombers

Do you have the Defiant Alan I have 2 of the 3 Defiants (old Airfix ones) that Dad flew in - one in day fighter camouflage (his pilot broke it before take off on the day the squadron as nearly wiped out), one in "night" (black). The third was a day fighter converted to light bomber during the invas...

Re: Wanted - a couple of bombers

Now if you was Granty, dadlamassu Alan, I would be thinking you need to dress the part too. (But Biggles style!) Flying hat, goggles, leather jacket and scarf (your dearest wifes of course) And so forth...... CarlL My ability at singing means I get to dress in black and shift the scenery about. :D
