Of course we did use cavalry in WW2 at least two major action in Russia..one of them at regiment levelIsbuscenskij is considered the most daring cavalry action of modern times..and that is exactly the subjct choosen to be represented by Waterloo 1815 with this set..they depict the Savoia Cavalry reg...

..me too..for the moment is just a dream project.. by the way i suppose you already have this book on the subjecrt...beautiful illustrated..extremely detailed maps and toes..obviuosly very contemtptuos against Italians..but as i'm also French mother-tongue and having studied in France i'm accostumed...

Bravo Richard ! i tought about those troops for a mini project from years..i even had the sculptor of my frozen Italwars range made a prototype....even if belonging to the ennemy that caused a shameful defeat to the colonial Italian Army in Lybia i like them and they are perfect for the French colum...

They could certainly useful both for French fights against rebels in Morocco, Syria (Druzes) also for depicting Senoussi and Lybians VS Italians from 1912 up to 1931..of course also for Turkish/Ottoman auxiliaries in WW1 and for Lawrence 's arab irregulars..but what i really don't like is the profus...

As concern Légionaires and Compagnies Sahariennes (mounted on camels of course) fighting in the desert "side to side" and maybe against Touaregs mounted (on camel) warriors...there is a false myth generated from Hollywood, Pulp stories, iconography and of course..and sorry for that...warga...
