Re: Total loss of focus and drive :(

It will be much simplified! Actually, when you look closely at the structure, it isn't that complex: Hull, two basically rectangular deckhouses, a central rectangular section below the funnel. Upper deck with a flying bridge across, oval conning tower, single circular section funnel and mast. Everyt...

Re: Total loss of focus and drive :(

In my case it is something that only just scrapes into 20th century - a river gunboat for my 15mm German colonials . Only just bought the wood and fittings, so not even started yet! The end result will be about 24cm long and in real terms, nearer to 1:200 scale, but the end results should look somet...

Re: WW1 Tank Models from China on e-Bay

Just to update what I posted, I measured the models I bought today and checked the scale. They are actually ‘true’ 15mm, i.e. 1:122 scale

Re: WW1 Tank Models from China on e-Bay

I found at least three or four sellers, all Chinese. I didn’t spot that particular one

Re: WW1 Tank Models from China on e-Bay

I think so - when I have time I will paint the tracks and add some shading and highlighting, plus markings - I'll post some better pictures when I have done that

WW1 Tank Models from China on e-Bay

I just wondered if anyone else on the forum had seen these (in my opinion) rather nice 1:100 model WW1 tanks available from China on e-Bay? In style, they are rather like the 'Fabbri' 1:72 scale models that many of us picked up at silly prices from 'The Works' a while back They mostly seem to be aro...

Re: Russian Diecasts suitable for 25mm figures

When I can find the box they are in, I will post some pictures of the other steel models I am talking about - they are quite nice if simplified scale models. At the moment they are in disassembled and stripped down state ready for re-furbishing and repainting

Russian Diecasts suitable for 25mm figures

Before I advertise these on e-Bay, I thought I should check if anyone on the SOTCW forum is interested. I acquired these about a year ago, thinking that they were like the other 1:87 (actually steel, rather than diecast) Russian models of 1960s-70s WarPac Armoured vehicles that I had purchased previ...

Re: Help with Roco Minitanks spares

Ok - you aren't that far away.
It won't be for several months, as we are having building work done - which (everything crossed!!) will give me a dedicated wargames room....
When I am sorted I'll drop you a line as I would be able to host a game if you are interested
