Re: Journal 96

Hi, I am a relatively recent member and I am unaware of some of the history. I apologise if I have misunderstood something. Since joining the last few journals seemed to indicate the society was closing down. At least that was my interpretation of the last couple of editorials. In the thread under J...

Re: Mobility on the Belgian Plain

An outstanding game and an equally great report Robin. There are always plenty of challenges in Spearhead and as we discussed the rules work so well.

Re: Tricky chaps, these new armies

Fred, I agree with you regarding the French Moderns. My own AMX-10RCs are yet to venture to Africa preferring to face the Soviets.

However, Robin is yet to admit to having some Modern French in 6mm, at least here. I think they too are in the lead pile...

After Arras

To counter the unfettered British propaganda a summary of operations conducted by elements of 7th Panzer Division on the 22nd of May 1940 is finally available. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dyluj7uU0AAA4uA?format=jpg&name=large You will find it at my Spearhead blog, specifically: https://ww2spearhead....

France 1940

Things seem quiet here so I thought I would post something... Friday evening found the in a German Panzers advancing in a long overdue 6mm WWII Spearhead game set in northern France in 1940, with each commander deploying a reinforced regiment. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DxyLLRXUwAAT2EJ?format=jpg&n...

Re: Journal 95 and Editors Role

Thank you to the team involved in producing the latest version. I’m still working my way through the journal, but certainly appreciate all the work putting this together.

Kind regards,

Re: Attaque a l'outrance August 1914

I was one of the players in the game Carl, one of two commanding the Germans. I play WWII and Modern Spearhead most often, but occasionally Robin recruits me for a GWSH game. Of all the games in the family the Great War version is the simplest, at least in the early war period where weapon systems a...

Re: Journal Progress

Great to see there has been progress on assembling the journal, a task that often goes unnoticed. I look forward to its release at some point, when time permits of course.

Re: Cold War Gaming

Hi John, The table measures 6’ in width and 4’ in depth. The ground scale we use is such that 1” represents 125m - there are two in MSH. So the table width is around 9km. The Soviets were of course concentrated in on only a very small sector of this. Each base is 1 1/4” wide so you can reverse engin...
