Klug

This unwelcome news came across my Facebook feed last night. I recall Klug as a long-time SoTCW member, a contributor to the Journal and as someone who would stop by for a chat at the end of each Partizan show where we ran a game. http://thepartizanshow.blogspot.com/2019/11/goodbye-old-friend.html P...

Re: Black Cross Red Star book news

Book 4 has arrived earlier than anticipated... some quiet reading/ sceanario mining to follow, then potentially a review.

Re: Black Cross Red Star book news

John you're welcome. There has been a lack of 'the other side of the hill' viewpoints for a while with the Eastern Front air war, some German pilots rack up huge kill-counts but accounts of Soviet performance, at least till Bergstrom's books (to my mind) were blighted by the need to reflect a narrat...

Re: Black Cross Red Star book news

Hi Carl How 4? I think his intention was always to do an overview of the air war on the Eastern Front, but with the depth and breadth of operations to be covered it had to be a multi-volume work. Vol 1 and 2 were from the same publisher, there was a hiatus and change of publisher before vol 3 appear...

Looks a handy addition, both for Great War and 1940 games... thanks for flagging it Carl.

Re: Kursk Map

So I went looking...

Code: Select all

https://mapstor.com/map-sets/russia-maps/kursk-obl.html#gs--050k--(1980-1980)--preview
Scroll up the page and you'll see other options, tagged by scale (the link is for 7 1:50,000 maps) and date of creation. This particular set is priced at 2 euro.

Re: Truths, Untruths, and damned untruths (of sorts)

Hi Mark

I've now had the chance to read the piece in WSS and I don't see any reason for the title of this post.

We have chosen to fold the Journal, and with it the subscription membership model that it required.

Re: Truths, Untruths, and damned untruths (of sorts)

We have the opportunity to contribute to WSS, if we choose to take it. I'll have a read and put forward an update on the Society and what we are continuing to do having set aside the journal.
