Re: Kursk Map

So I went looking...

Code: Select all

https://mapstor.com/map-sets/russia-maps/kursk-obl.html#gs--050k--(1980-1980)--preview
Scroll up the page and you'll see other options, tagged by scale (the link is for 7 1:50,000 maps) and date of creation. This particular set is priced at 2 euro.

Re: Truths, Untruths, and damned untruths (of sorts)

Hi Mark

I've now had the chance to read the piece in WSS and I don't see any reason for the title of this post.

We have chosen to fold the Journal, and with it the subscription membership model that it required.

Re: Truths, Untruths, and damned untruths (of sorts)

We have the opportunity to contribute to WSS, if we choose to take it. I'll have a read and put forward an update on the Society and what we are continuing to do having set aside the journal.

There's a Polish site with lots of maps, varying ages and scales, including Soviet military maps... worth a google.

Re: air wars

A and A games rulesets, like Scramble or Stringbagss (I thnk Fox Two as well) were in buff covers. Available now via wargames vault iirc.

Liked Scramble, masses of aircraft data sets and the means to make your own...

Re: 54mm early 20th century gaming anyone?

They've expanded that range quite a bit...

But I already have three armies (Turks, Greeks and Bulgarians) from this range:

With reinforcements still waiting to be properly equipped (painted) for duty. So I'll let these be for now.

Re: SOTCW Future Offer

Speaking for myself, I am always happy to support the promotion of the period, by whatever methods are effective - Facebook, web forum, website articles, blogging (something I have yet to embrace as I feel my wargaming output is too sporadic to support it), a Journal (when there is material to be di...
