Re: Forges Rail yard (turns 7 to finish)

I am a bit late to the fray! Richard, but late take up did not spoil my enjoyment of the 2nd part of your battle report. Good "read" - in the manner of the Valiant, lots of great photos and linking text - with dare or do French & German forces. Great fun. Enjoy your further gaming, wit...

something missed - WW1 gun & colonial crew

I missed this one recently on TMP see ad at http://theminiaturespage.com/news/?id=736633250 Where it notes: "Something for the WWI and Interwar colonial fans: a 4.52 howitzer, including its limber and ammunition limber, and, of course, crew in colonial uniforms with Wolseley pith helmets."...

latest Airfix Aerodrome edition

There is lots of "photo candy" at https://www.airfix.com/uk-en/news/aerodrome/a-night-at-the-war-museum?utm_campaign=2823673_Airfix%20-%20Aerodrome%20-%20Week%2034%202020%2F2021&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Hornby%20PLC&_%24ja=tsid%3A71284&dm_i=2DJZ,1OIRD,9N258E,5PYKD,1 in t...

Romanians anyone?

Well these look cool, so I had to share them, even though I don't do 28mm and I don't have WW2 Romanians in any scale; (but my Russians have been trounced many a time by German-Romanian coalition on the tabletop!). Here is a sample from their TMP advert photo. https://i.imgur.com/7x3OWx2.jpg The fig...

Why do one Stug when BPM can do them all?

Noted this over on TWW, see https://www.thewargameswebsite.com/butlers-printed-models-stug-iii/ Where the ad blurb says: "10 different variants are available: Ausf A Ausf B Ausf C or D Ausf E Ausf F L43 Ausf F L48 Ausf G Early Ausf G Mid Ausf G Late StuH 42 Prices: 6mm is £0.70 12mm is £3.00 15...

Re: Forges Rail yard (turns 1-6)

Richard, Great table (and table extra) layout. Love all the "clutter" of a closed terrain. Interesting forces. Not many player use the Free French in this period of late WW2. Its a dogged fight. Lots of great terrain pieces. I especially liked the smoke and flame "markers" on you...

Re: Shiloy Tshernez, the Spanish Blue Division in Russia, 17 January 1942

Richard. Your assessment of what glossies seek, is sad news, perhaps another reason why Sotcw Journal was so important. But yours is only the second positive comment about one off Journal, in the time since Grant and I suggested this (was it four weeks ago?). I had a subscription to one of the gloss...

Re: Shiloy Tshernez, the Spanish Blue Division in Russia, 17 January 1942

Lovely work by Senor Baber !! (haha) Worthy of a Journal for publication. (All loyalties aside, I wonder at what point such lovely articles should be in another mag to reach a wider audience?) Meanwhile we are lucky to still be able to enjoy articles by Richard and others. (Well done all.) CarlL PS ...
